A recent study exposes that at our current rate of increase, the 67% of Americans that are overweight now will increase to 75% by 2012, 86% by 2030 and nearly everyone by 2048! 85% of people who attempt one of the popular weight loss programs gain most or all of the weight lost within a year. 80% of the reason people overeat is for psychological reasons. 92% of people who attempt weight loss and the attainment of a healthy lifestyle achieve it IF they receive a solid education in healthy eating and activity strategies ALONG WITH mindset modification training regarding their eating and activity habits. As a health club manager for many years and a management member of the country’s largest HMO I could relate stories about people I worked with following corrective surgeries for weight-related problems that “dodged a bullet” and how sincere they were – afterward - about changing their eating and activity habits. Do you want to get “sobered up” by an event like that?
