If you follow the Empower Walk program consistently you should be able to lose a pound a week, if not more depending upon your commitment.

The Nike + pedometer / transmitter combination only measures distance, which means you have to compute the number of steps you've taken from the distance you've travelled (1 mile = ~2,000 steps).

The Empower Walk pedometer actually measures steps, therefore it will be easier for you to understand the most accurate number of steps you've taken if you elect to purchase the Empower Walk pedometer.  Either way you will be able to understand the number of steps you have taken the Nike + product will require one small calculation on your part.

All Empower Walk kits, ship from California via standard mail or U.S. Postal Service Express Mail (If you choose that option). Standard mail can take up to 7 business days; Express Mail can take up to 3 business days regardless of your location in the U.S.

Empower Walk content can be found in every sub category the player offers. For example, if you look under "Albums" on your player, you will see all 6 Segments of the Empower Walk Program listed as albums "Empower Walk 01-06". The reason for this is that not all MP3 players contain a "audio book" sub section of the players directory structure.
